Paper-cut leaf

Hi Friends

I like doing symmetrical designs and recently tried paper cutting.  This is the first ever Paper-cut attempted by me. This is a design I had saved some time back.  I asked permission from the original artist Heather Clements and this is her design. I enjoyed doing it and may do some more in future. I cut the leaf on handmade cream color paper and later mounted on textured green paper, the flowers are punched out from the same cream handmade paper using a medium punch. base is again a handmade paper in a tie-dye kind of design in lovely turquoise!!

I later on stuck a border around and added some pearls. Hope you like it. The paper cut card is very precious to me and is going to my good friend Selma D' Silva in Mumbai who is very fond of paper-cutting. In fact I started looking for paper-cut patterns with her in mind.

I do hope you like it, its a pleasure to read your encouraging comments. I plan to do another one , I would like to invite your suggestions about the background you may want to see or any other way I can mount this. thank you......

Graphical Card

Hi Friends
I made this card for the kalalayaa geo-graphical challenge. One has to make a CAS card with geometrical or graphical shapes on it.

I used a beautiful silver, grey and fawn/tan pattern paper with geometrical design. I matted it on black cardstock and made a bloom with silver metallic paper to go with the lovely silver on the PP.

Here are some pics to show the way I made the flower, just hand drawn flower shape, gave little texture and cut and assembled the flower as per the pics below, leaves are also hand drawn and cut and embossed with an  empty refill.

I think this is CAS enough but the silver makes it special but at the same time difficult to photograph. Hope you all like it!!

Self designed PP

Another quick post ........to share a rushed work.

This self made PP was quickly made at around 23:00 hrs yesterday as my younger son suddenly remembered (???) that he needed a copy cover in this particular shade of pink for his school club notebook and it had to be embellished too!!!

Well!! the problem was that firstly, I did not have any chart paper of this color,Secondly: I was too tired and sleepy and lastly: I was upset that he told me so late.

but as most of you know, mothers never have a choice!!!!

so found two A 4 size sheets of pink, pasted them together, put a glitter tape on the joint and then just randomly drew spirals with glitter pen and a swirl with glitter glue to finish off ( what will I do without the glitter, have used three glitter products here :)

not too bad !! at least my son was satisfied and happy and I was allowed to go to sleep......
just sharing in case it is helpful to any of you in such emergencies.......:)
also it has given me some ideas to make some PP for future use.
and thank god I had this shade of pink at least in A4 size!!
