All supplies except eight big crystals, ribbon and the nylon thread are recycled. I got the bottle caps from our local scrap dealer who comes to collect stuff from our neighbourhood ( the kabadiwala), took the help of a young boy ( our electrician) to flatten the caps and punch holes with a nail and a hammer..........after that it was painting the caps on both sides with acrylic colors ( this did not take much time )

........................., I used metallic silver, pearl green and pearl blue  to paint the bottle caps, then used glass colors over them, created textures with black outliner.  I love using glass colors over metal and glass and they give a lovely glazed effect. For embellishing these I have used sequins, seed beads, kundan stones, glass beads, shiny butterflies, glittery leaves and chunky glitter ( everything that shines and reflects found a way on them). Hardly any two caps are similar in design, when I ran out of glittery stuff and patience, I used a cotton bud to dot some with metallic paints.  Threaded the caps with nylon thread and used bells saved from old curtain hangings and a broken chime. I have used ribbons in blue and silver tied to the hanging rods ( read one recycled flute from 'krishna' and  a scrap piece of wood colored with a dry brush technique)

Altered Beer Bottle

Hi Friends

A quick post.... Another painted bottle from me. This is a brown beer bottle and I have used Jute/ Burlap, natural twine, handmade flowers made using raffia in orange, cream and yellow, round mirrors and Fevicryl glass and acrylic colors. You can see some of my earlier altered bottles herehere,  here and my all time  favorite one!!

I like the artsy/ truck art kind of feel in this creation, the colors are vibrant and can uplift any space this is kept in. I have created this especially for Catchy challenges Bingo challenge . I am using Natural Twine + Mirrors + Glass Bottles. Hope you like this..................
