Crackle Magic Tags with Little Birdie Crackle mediums

Hello dear Friends
I am here with you with a project showcasing the Little Birdie Crackle mediums. I have used both the one step and two step Crackle mediums by little Birdie in this set of tags.










I love the fine cracks I got ...I have used multiple layers of crackle and top coats in the background.......I also wanted to use the Little Birdie Two step crackle Medium so have used it on the die cut frame and the images..............



I have used the two step crackle medium on the die cut frame and on the image and later used the same shades of Sailing Sky and Snow Chalk paints to enhance and distress the crackle effect.

Some texture stamping with Black archival Ink  is done on the background, the sentiments are computer generated.

Upcycled Liquor Box to a Watch Box 

Hello dear friends

Today I am sharing with you a DIY watch box which I created upcycling a liquor carton and using the 3D Vintage Pocket Watch chipboard, the newly launched Texture Tools and Chalk Paints by Itsy Bitsy .

I used a sturdy liquor carton and using strong masking tape reshaped the carton to open horizontally........... to go with the colors on the box, I decided to use Tattered Lace, Wild Moss and Charcoal shades of Chalk Paints......

1. I lightly sanded the box and applied a coat of Wild Moss and charcoal all over the box. 

2. After drying,I added Camlin Acrylic Retarder to Tattered Lace chalk paint. This would allow more open time to create texture as chalk paints dry fast. I wanted the top layer to be textured and also show the colors used at the base .

I used both the texture Tools to create texture on the box............

You can see the different types of effects ( straight, curves, wood grain...) you can easily create using these tools as seen in the picture below.....

I have decoupaged this with DECOUPAGE NAPKIN MONUMENT on top of the textured surface...

Then, done some stenciling with Tattered Lace chalk paints............

I have layered with a clock MDF piece and flowers and chunky numbers from the Itsy Bitsy store to showcase the beautiful chipboard..........and fixed metal closure for the box.......

here is the inner look of the box . The inside is painted with Charcoal chalk paint and dry brushed with gold metallic paint.....the sentiment is computer generated, printed on cream card stock and matted on black card stock...

DIY Gift Box and Paint Brush Holder

Hello friends, I decided to create a paint Brush holder and a Gift box by upcycling a Liquor box .......

this is the liquor box which was cut in the middle and upcycled to create the gift box and Brush Holder 

I have used TATTERED LACE and DRIFTWOOD Shades of Little Birdie Matt Chalk paints from Itsy Bitsy for this.

Today I am sharing a Decoupage tray using PINK BALLET, FRENCH ROSE, SNOW AND RAINY DAY shades of  Little Birdie Matt Chalk Acrylic Paints. I love the soft shades of these pinks and chose a Decoupage Napkin with very soft colors.

Somewhere near the sea............

Hello Friends, am sharing a sea theme Upcycled project on the Itsy Bitsy Blog here using the new Chalk Matt Acrylic Paints by Little Birdie. Available in a number of pretty shades, the easy to use chalk acrylic paints have a perfect consistency for spreading with rollers, sponge and brush. Great for mixed media projects and home decor applications, you can also use sandpaper or a dampened sanding block for a layered, chippy or distressed look.
