Mixed Media cardboard set of Drawers

Hi Friends

Sharing a three drawer cardboard drawer set made by recycling packaging material. I have used DecoArt Supplies ......Decoart Black Gesso, Fluid metallics and Metallic Lustre in Burnished Brass , Majestic Purple and Gold Rush to create this .........

I had three tray boxes of packaging which I stacked on top of each other with thick sheet of cardstock in between ......then measured and wrapped all three with corrugated cardstock recycled from packaging ......

Fixed Bottle cap legs to the box and did stenciling with black Modeling Paste from DecoArt.......I started adding layers of various embellishments in metal, plastic and wood....

Mail Art and a Recycled Gift Box with DecoArt

Hi Friends

sharing a gift box and Mail Art envelopes today using the New Decoart Americana Neon lights paints  I got recently. These come in five beautiful colors..........

NEON LIGHTS COLORS

Fluorescent acrylic paints made with bright, concentrated pastel neon colors.
Pink Explosion

Peach Punch

Radiant Yellow

Knockout Blue

I used a silicon mat to use as a Gelli plate , added colors and using a paint brayer spread the paints and took prints on the envelopes and the recycled gift box ( actually the box is the kraft box in which the paints came from DecoArt) ........

After many layers of paints using various stencils, I used Archival Inks and various stamps to create the  designs.........

Second envelope.........stamping with neon paints and some plastic lids/ stamps and archival inks also some Washi tape......

Stenciling with neon paints and doodling with Posca pens on the gift box........

DecoArt Crackle paint and some paint splatters.....
To make the focal image to pop more, I stamped it on a separate piece of card stock colored with the neon paints randomly and stamped the image on it, fussy cut it and glued on the stamped image on the envelopes, Did this with the butterfly/bird  and flower images.......

I do hope you liked these !!

Glass Bottle and Decoupage magic

Glass Bottle and Decoupage magic
Hi friends

worked with some bottle art again, some beautiful paper designed by Divya Thallap and glass and acrylic colors. Here are some pics of the process....... the image is embossed lightly and gold acrylic brushed slightly on the raised portion followed by some Shilpakar M-seal ( epoxy sealant) work on the bottle.

Started with this Old Monk bottle

Upcycled bottle with the image embossed, decoupaged and M Seal work in place.

Adding color , using glass and acrylic colors........

The old Monk bottle has a design on the bottle which is great for glass colors as it holds color in the grooves and one can work fast. You can use any other bottle too which has texture and design. Used gold acrylic paint to highlight the design and applied shades of blue, green, yellow randomly. Two coats of varnish and...........

another angle...............................and btw, these are hand-cut hand made blooms ......

and this is how it looks when lit from inside............but I think it would look even better if it is lit from the top with a pretty raw silk shade.....
