I wanted to quill an owl when I saw this flyer from Dominos
and then I quilled this fellow................
the baby owls are inspired by these cute baby owls by Miyyah, one of my favorite quillers. I have used hand cut strips cut from 120 gsm A4 sheets. The background is Handmade paper.

Suman, fabulous as always!
ReplyDeletePlease tell me how you did the outline shape of the owl body? did you use any object around which you wrapped the paper strip? I got to make this!! Love them!
Hi Sayantani, use any bottle or round object and make a quilled ring shape, you can use tiny amounts of glue to keep the layers of paper together and wound tightly. After you have made the ring as per your required thickness, carefully slip it off the bottle or whichever mould you are using, you can then shape the ring in any form you want.
