Hello friends
Another card for the 'Blog to Hop'..........
I had this lovely Itty bitty stamp from Unity Stamps Fly Free with me designed by Tanis Geisbrecht which went so well with my thoughts on this sensitive issue of Domestic Violence. The text on the butterfly says...Fly Free....Take wings....
I started with stenciling the hearts with ColourArte Radiant Gel Dimensional Paint in Emperor's Gold and then sponging with Dusty Concord Distress ink and then splattering with water to get the distressed effect....
I do hope that this wonderful initiative by Becca Cruger helps in creating awareness, healing and support ...and those in need can take those broken wings and learn to fly again.............I leave you with these beautiful lines......................
Take these broken wings
And learn to fly again
And learn to live so free
And when we hear the voices sing
The book of love will open up
And let us in
Take these broken wings
And learn to fly again....................
from "Broken Wings"(originally by Mr Mister)

ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic lines Suman...totally love it! It angers me so much to see domestic abuse being treated as "normal" in our societies and while hopping I read so many stories and I was a bit surprised to see it is as rampant in the "developed" world as it is in our country.
