Hello friends
I made this journal cover using some beautiful Mesh ribbon background( a gift from a blogger friend and an awesome crafter Jovita Serrao Dsouza, owner of Creativita ) . Here is a picture of the 2" Mesh ribbon I used ( pic from the net )
The cover was black, I gave a coat of heavy Gesso and added strips of the mesh ribbon. used a stencil and African Jade Radiant Gel by ColourArte. Radiant rains and some embellishments. I have used a stencil by Craftslane, you can see the stencilled background and two colors of mesh ribbon before I added more colors and sprays in the picture below...........
I wanted to participate in the Lessology Challenge for February but had no tassels so I decided to make some. My basic quilling knowledge came to the rescue, the tassels are handmade from thick paper. I took a strip of handmade paper and cut fringes, then rolled it with a toothpick to create some tassels. I've made a hanging charm with acrylic beads and handmade paper tassels. The oval tag is recycled from clothing .
I have used Liquid glass from DecoArt to add dimension on the background, paper dragonflies and the Tim Holtz sticker....a closer look...........
micro beads and rhinestones added................
