Step 2 : Base coat : Although the Metallic lustre is meant to use as a top coat wax I decided to use it for coloring too. I painted the page with Metallic lustre in Elegant Emerald and Brilliant Turquoise after diluting a bit with water ....

Step 3 : Highlight Texture : Highlighted the textures with Gold Rush and Silver Spark Metallic Lustre by dry brushing with a stiff brush. The handmade clay angel is colored with a diluted Brilliant Turquoise and highlighted with dry Gold Rush . The metallic embellishments are also dry brushed with Gold Rush and Iced Expresso. Buff the texture with a soft cloth to increase the sheen.

I was quite happy with the Antique Patina effect with only one product and three easy steps, hope you will give this technique a try. Does it not look like Embossed Metal to you ??
I made this the cover of my Journal made out of Cardboard, in case you are interested to know how to create your own Junk Journal using cardboard, see this easy tutorial here
More about Metallic Lustre by DecoArt
Metallic Lustre is a water-based metallic wax that buffs to a brilliant shine. It features highly concentrated pigments and boasts an opaque coverage with only one coat. Metallic Lustre adheres to most absorbent surfaces, as well as metal. Because it's a paste, it allows for more control during application than liquid paint.
