Hello Friends, I am on the Itsy Bitsy blog today to share a mixed media creation . I created a set of Steampunk Altered bottles with lots of Itsy Bitsy Mixed Media supplies.
I am sharing the tutorial here too ........
I used Grainy texture paste and Stone texture paste , some random lace and twine to create background texture on the glass bottles..........
Then used the stencil from the store and crackle paste to add some more texture ....
I wanted to use the steampunk bulb chipboard set as the focal point on the bottles , used color splash in Lemon Zing, Gold Rush and Mocha to create an ombre light effect on heavy card by spraying the paper with water first and then with the color splash, allow to dry and then traced the bulbs on the colored paper and fixed behind the chipboard bulbs............
after all the texture , give a coat of Black Gesso to the bottles and allowed to dry....
some layering with chipboard, gears , micro and macro craft pellets .........
another coat of black gesso..........
some more texture with Embossing Paste Aquatini and heat embossing.........
Now was the turn to color, I used Chalk Paints in Terracotta, Mango Crush, Teal Tango, Chocolate Truffle and misty fog using the dry brush technique, keep layering the paints from dark to light in a random fashion........
Finished with adding the focal point with Heavy Gel Medium, some metal embellishments and chain was added from my stash.........
the back....
some detail of the textures......
