Lace and flower card

Hi friends

Just a quick card to share with you for the shabby Chic Challenge.

A simple card using pretty pretty paper, some lace, bling, pearls and paper lace. I have made the big flower using  Tim holtz tattered flowers die-cuts, shaded with soft pastels and used some tiny pearls for the centre.Stamped with homemade Gesso using wooden stamp on the PP and  a tiny pink blingy centre for it.

Hope you like it

'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' project

Hi Friends
Just in case you were wondering what happened to the left over portion of the Liquor box upcycled in this post, here's it in all ethnic glory...............

I don't think there's much to explain, wrapped jute twine around using glue, some dry leaves from a dry plant arrangement at home, wooden buttons, Fevicol MR and handmade Jute twine flowers (see tute here). I made my loom with a single piece of thick cardboard and used pins stuck into sides. I have used a very thin jute twine almost like a thickish thread for the flowers which was salvaged from a packing of household crockery items.  This is for a 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' project for my younger son's school exhibition.

Hope you like it.....

Grunge look Plant holder DIY using Aluminium Foil

Grunge look Plant holder DIY using Aluminium Foil

Hi  friends
I still am in an aluminum foil craft mode mentally and while working  whenever  I could find some spare time I finally finished this project today.
I’ve tried to give this an industrial/ masculine/ Grunge look as I wanted to make something for the study desk of my elder son who’s soon going to be 18.
I started with a cardboard liquor bottle box and this is how it looks now after all the work

This is how this was worked on, The pics are self explanatory, in case you have any questions, pl mail me. click on the image to enlarge.

Steps:
Cut the box
Remove the printed paper
Add texture with corrugated paper, jute twine, beads, buttons, washers, wire mesh, gesso etc
Cover with crushed foil; I have not used any glue in this project and my homemade Gesso gave a very strong bond too.
welll, yes, that indeed is liquid shoe-polish you see in the pic and a shoe brush to colour my plant holder!! used shoe polish and polished with a rag to give a grunge look.
