Hi Friends
Today's project is best described as accidental art..lol !! I wanted to paint my i phone's back cover and wanted to do doodling with the white pen. I was inspired by this post on the
PaperArtsy Blog.
I started with applying few thick coats of DecoArt Fluid Acrylic Carbon black , Allowed that to dry well and started doodling with the Rotring pen using white Ink . After I finished my design I realized that the black paint was peeling off the edges. Well....I peeled it off carefully and was at a loss figuring what to do with it ....when suddenly inspiration struck.......
I used a Couture creations Victorian square die-cut cut out of thick kraft cardstock and covered it with Crackle glaze from DecoArt and then smeared Diarylide Yellow and Hansa Yellow medium on top. I highlighted the cracks and the edges of the die cut with a bit of Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide. The doodled acrylic skin panel was added with a bit of DecoArt Matte Medium. I extended the design on to the die-cut panel using the Rotring pen and white Ink and a Micron black pen.
Mounted the die-cut on to black handmade card stock which was folded at the bottom to create a kind of pocket for the square panel, more doodling on the folded strip, some white acrylic splatters and finally matting on to DCWV 5'x7' embossed kraft card. All layers have been added with foam tape to create dimension.
I doodled only one bird but now another tiny one is visible here, can you spot the little fellow who just appeared on its own here.....( see the half circle*) Thank you so much for your visit today.:)
You can see some more of my Mandala and doodling

Important Edit :I realized later that to paint on a material like plastic it is best to use Americana Multi-Surface Paint or to add DecoArt Paint Adhesion Medium to the paint so it sticks to the surface and doesn't peel off.
