Pulsating Colors.......

Hi Friends

Sharing a painting using the Gel Press and amazing ColourArte Silks and Vivid Ultra Metallic paints

I start by cutting cardstock in 6″x6″ size and selecting some stencils and silks to start printing using the Gel Press,I will show you how to layer paint layers with different stencils to create a unique print.

Added Fuzzy Peach, Autumn leaf and Playful Peony Silks on the Gelli Press and covered the Gelli press using a roller …

Placed the stencil and removed some paint using a scrap paper….

Made the frame using air dry clay and Prima IOD molds....

Created the frame with the molded clay and thick Chip board

Gave a coat of gesso to the frame and trimmed the Gelli print to size and added the bird cage with green rhinestones.........

covered the frame with a coat of Black Gesso and dry brushed with Vivid Ultra Metallics Pure silver and DecoArt Metallic lustre in Green and turquoise.....

I love the rich colors and the ornate frame, reminds me of the Vibrant Royal Indian paintings. The frame sure resembles the ornate wooden frames of the Royal Era. I do hope you like this.

First of all, the completed picture is just lovely and I really like the 3D effect of the cage and birds, and you actually made that marvellous frame!
Many thanks for all the details, photos and words, on how you made it. It is far away from what I currently do, so it was fascinating, and I will certainly have a go at making a background this way.

Hello Suman,
I know I commented already, but I came back to look at your blog and am still in love with these birds who are free to leave their cage, and I still love how you made it.
