Debris journal

Debris journal
Debris journal

Hi Friends

A quick post to share the debris journal made by recycling a big sturdy card board box in which I received my DCWV blog hop prize pack.......the pics are self-explanatory........Hope you will like it

The journal is constructed recycling the big cardboard box cut into 7"x7" and 6"x6" pieces. With two writers in the house, we frequently receive packages from our publishers wrapped in thick brown wrapping paper which was cut to size and recycled to attach the cardboard panels...........

Add adhesive and attach the brown paper carefully to the panels to ensure that the two panels open flat and all the panels align evenly.......

Debris journal

Here are both the journals, one 7"x7" and the other 6"x6", the smaller one has a simple design on the cover page using a stencil and homemade texture paste.

this is one of the inside deconstructed layer ready for some journalling.............

Debris journal

attempted a leaf cut on the cover of the journal and added the removed pieces on the back cover for some texture .......a bit of gesso and vintage photo distress ink and a MDF sentiment.........

Updated : Used the paint pens to create some more texture and design on the front and back covers .......

 please excuse the bad pic....

an inside page with some paper cut design...............

What a marvellous idea to use these cardboard boxes which seem too good to throw away.
I love the way you have cut out the details of the leaf to show the corrugation below, that's a work of art in itself,
