another page in my small handmade journal, this is for the fun 10 minute Art Challenge by the amazingly creative artist Marta Lapkowska.

The journal page had some doodled leaves with a metallic pen which I had done sometime back. I added some watercolors randomly, added some rub-ons, text stamping with archival ink, a Tim Holtz sentiment sticker and some bird and butterfly stickers, added half a doily to make the bird pop !!

a watercolor background card for  WCMD 2015 Watercolor with Vanessa ,  WCMD 2015 BBB: masterBoard Background Building with Shay.....

I created the background on watercolor paper using Camlin Watercolors..........splattered with China white, Crimson and Ivory black watercolors after the background was dry.

The Die-cut is embellished with Diamond Stickles by Ranger ....The butterfly and sentiment is a Rub-on from Tim Holtz Botanical set.

I have used a sentiment which can have multiple interpretations and this card can be used for so many occasions.......I am also linking to Blog to Hop conveying a wonderful sense of rediscovering of self .....

Watercolor love

Spring is here and so to celebrate is this card using watercolors.....

no stamps, no heat embossing, not even any pencil markings, just straight brush to the paper old fashioned technique ........

I have used Camlin artist quality watercolors and watercolor paper and of course water to create this card. This is the first time I am liking my trials with the watercolors. The only mantra with watercolor seems to be the least amount of pigment you have on your brush, the better it is !!

liking this spring scene with some basic supplies. The sentiment is stamped with coffee Archival ink on Vellum and a bit of paper twine in orange is added . Matted on to yellow corrugated sheet and orange cardstock. Hope you like it
