am back after a long time,a quick post to share another painted bottle with all of you....

Decoupage and glass colors

I have used Glass colors and decoupage on the bottle. The peacock design is on both sides of the bottle. I have used water based glass colors by Hobby ideas in  blue and green on the bottle and a teeny- tiny bit of glitter around the decoupaged image. Used two coats of varnish to seal the colors and the image. The gorgeous papers are from Mesmerising India collection by Divya Thallap available with Craftslane. The bottle is a recycled liquor bottle and the box a coffee mug pack. The box is also decoupaged using same collection and I have distressed the edges by using metallic acrylic colors in metallic blue/green shades.

The top of the box and two sides have been stencilled using homemade texture paste and fancy Feathers stencil and then painted in blue/ green and a little bit of gold dust powder. This is how it looks with the lights  ...................

Upcycled boxes and a Spectacles case

Hi Friends

These started as simple cardboard boxes and a spectacles case in plastic. Have coated these with a layer of ceramic powder paste and then stenciled leaves with the homemade texture paste using Fancy Feathers Crafters workshop stencils from Imaginations. I won these on the like and share contest by Imaginations on their facebook page. Thank you Aditya Gupta for sending these faboulous stencils to me !!!

The life is good is handwritten while the ceramic paste was wet with a ball point pen.

These were colored using glass colors and Gold dust powder.....the box at the top in the pic above has a hand made Washi tape using painters tape and doodling designs with Paint pens in red, green and white !! The white dots are made using the Camlin paint pen in white.

Hi friends

worked with some bottle art again, some beautiful paper designed by Divya Thallap and glass and acrylic colors. Here are some pics of the process....... the image is embossed lightly and gold acrylic brushed slightly on the raised portion followed by some Shilpakar M-seal ( epoxy sealant) work on the bottle.

Started with this Old Monk bottle

Adding color , using glass and acrylic colors........

The old Monk bottle has a design on the bottle which is great for glass colors as it holds color in the grooves and one can work fast.You can use any other bottle too which has texture and design. Used gold acrylic paint to highlight the design and applied shades of blue, green, yellow randomly. Two coats of varnish and...........

and this is how it looks when lit from inside............but I think it would look even better if it is lit from the top with a pretty raw silk shade.....

Hope you like it........these gorgeous papers are from Royal Rajasthan pack from Craftslane.......and can you imagine I can make 12 bottles like this from a single sheet of this fabulous design !!!

Recycled/ Painted Glass bottle.............glass turns to Gold

This is a XXX Rum bottle I recycled sometime back using gold Acrylic colour and Fevicryl Hobby ideas glass colours. The image is an old cut-out from a magazine which has been decoupaged on the glass bottle using Fevicol MR after a little bit of retouching with golden colour.

The bottle has a raised design on which I used gold acrylic as an outliner and filled the little spaces inside with the jewel toned Fevicryl Hobby Ideas water based glass colours.

The raised border around the image and the design on the neck of the bottle is made by M-seal  and painted with gold acrylic. You do not need any adhesive as m-seal alone fixes very well to the glass.For those not familiar with M-seal  is an epoxy resin. It is actually a substance used by plumbers to seal leaks. It is manufactured as white Mseal for hobby crafts by Pidilite Industries and is quite inexpensive and easy to use. 

I distressed the neck of the bottle with gold acrylic and glass colours.

And here's the back of the bottle in full vibrant gold and jewel tones. looks really nice when the lights shine on it and the lovely play of  multicolored lights cast their own spell. I want to make it into a lamp shade. Any suggestions?? A friend of mine commented, " Wow, Glass turns to Gold"

Recycled perfume bottle to a pretty paper weight

Dear Friends

this is a small perfume bottle transformed into a paperweight. I just broke the spray part and to seal the sharp edges used M-seal. Shaped into petals on top and used gold acrylic colour on M-seal bits and glass colours on the rest of the bottle with lil bit of bling. Hope you like it.
