Altered Glass Jar

Altered Glass Jar

Dear friends
sharing an altered jar with you made for the PaperArtsy  Topic 14: Glitter , I used a tissue paper and handmade air dry clay to create texture , then used black gesso and metallic paints , last to be added is dry glitter mixed with satin varnish especially around the textured areas........

I think it would be better to add a gif file so that you can see all around the jar  :) I was inspired by this post  on the PaperArtsy blog by Raquel Burillo and the faboulous image of glittered lips on the challenge introduction post .

I love how the Jar looks like it is made of hammered metal and the glitter settles in all that texture to add shine and colour. hope you all like this :)

Pulsating Colors.......

Hi Friends

Sharing a painting using the Gel Press and amazing ColourArte Silks and Vivid Ultra Metallic paints

I start by cutting cardstock in 6″x6″ size and selecting some stencils and silks to start printing using the Gel Press,I will show you how to layer paint layers with different stencils to create a unique print.

Added Fuzzy Peach, Autumn leaf and Playful Peony Silks on the Gelli Press and covered the Gelli press using a roller …

Placed the stencil and removed some paint using a scrap paper….

Made the frame using air dry clay and Prima IOD molds....

Created the frame with the molded clay and thick Chip board

Gave a coat of gesso to the frame and trimmed the Gelli print to size and added the bird cage with green rhinestones.........

covered the frame with a coat of Black Gesso and dry brushed with Vivid Ultra Metallics Pure silver and DecoArt Metallic lustre in Green and turquoise.....

I love the rich colors and the ornate frame, reminds me of the Vibrant Royal Indian paintings. The frame sure resembles the ornate wooden frames of the Royal Era. I do hope you like this.
